Brainy Break was founded and built in London by two parents and an uncle, for the children in our own family. You choose the which apps to limit time for and set the timer. When the time is up, Brainy Break pauses those apps for a few learning activities chosen for your child’s age. A few questions later, they carry on. You are not the one who has to say no. The youngest match colours and drag shapes home, with no reading needed. As children grow, the breaks move on to counting, sums, times tables and spelling. There are over 2,000 activities, informed by England’s early years and primary curriculum. There is no account and there are no adverts. Nothing about your child leaves the device, and the breaks work without an internet connection. The first ten breaks are free. After that, your profiles and settings stay in place, and one payment turns on new breaks for every child and every iPhone and iPad in your family. No subscription.
